The technical building inspection (inspecció tècnica d’edificis, ITE) is the periodic check that residential buildings must undergo to assess their state of maintenance and repair.
We inspect the building and write the corresponding report, detailing the defects found and how serious they are. We also apply for the building’s certificate of fitness (certificat d’aptitud).
In Catalonia, blocks of flats must pass it once they are 45 years old, and it is also required to apply for renovation grants.
